2012 Show
Wake Forest Independent is pleased to announce its 2012 production, “Hemispheres.” By exploring both disparate sides of the brain, the program will evoke moments of both graceful artistry and calculated logic. Listeners of “Hemispheres” will be taken on a journey of discovery as they explore how each side of our brain sees and hears music. Ensemble Directors Teddy Holcomb and Justin Mabry commented, “we are extremely excited about this year’s ensemble, and hope you enjoy our production as we explore how our minds operate!”
Wake Forest Independent is from Winston-Salem, NC and will be competing locally in PIA in the Atlantic Indoor Association as well as the Spartanburg (SC) and Mid-South (KY) WGI Regionals and WGI World Championships. Wake Forest Independent’s design team includes: Teddy Holcomb (Ensemble Director, Visual Designer), Justin Mabry (Ensemble Director, Battery Arranger), Sean Combes (Front Ensemble Arranger), and Cassie Belcher (Choreographer/Design Consultant). The staff includes: Justin Belcher (Battery Caption Head), Corey Denham (Front Ensemble Caption Head), Jonathan Pratt, Nanako Tsurumi, Brandon Coffey, Jordan Webb, Emory Hensley (Battery Consultant), Tyler Honeycutt (Battery Consultant), and Kit Powell (Front Ensemble Consultant). Wake Forest Independent proudly performs with Vic Firth sticks and mallets, Zildjian cymbals, Dynasty drums and keyboards and Remo drumheads.
